One of Britain’s largest coins has been unveiled by the Royal Mint – but the mark-up on
current gold prices is more than £150,000.
The new coin, designed in celebration of the Queen’s 70 years on the throne, is one of a
selection of coins minted to celebrate the royal event.
The coin designs, including the first 50p to celebrate a Royal event, will be the first opportunity for collectors to own a memento from the Platinum Jubilee collection.
