Deputy vice president William Ruto is a grandad. His daughter, Charlene Chelagat Ruto welcomed a baby recently.
A source whispered to Mpasho the exciting news saying, “The grandparents as super jazzed with the arrival of the little angel. This is their first grandchild.”
Adding, “Rachel Ruto has been spending so much time with her grandchild and very enamoured with the newborn.”
Coincidentally, the Jubilee duo of president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy Ruto became grandparents within the same month.
Uhuru’s only daughter, Ngina Kenyatta welcomed her first child in mid-September at the Aga Khan hospital.
A week before that in early September, Ruto’s daughter Charlene had welcomed her little one.
The details on the gender and name of the child have been kept hush-hush. Charlene who is the Director and PR and Branding at Weston Hotel Nairobi is currently on maternity leave.
