FOOTBALL LEGEND PELE, 80, GIVES THE THUMBS UP AS HE GETS HIS COVID VACCINATION ON AN ‘UNFORGETTABLE DAY’

Soccer legend Pele gives the thumbs-up as he gets his first Covid vaccine in his home city of Santos (pictured right).

The 80-year-old shared the moment he was jabbed in his right arm with his 5.7 million Instagram fans and said: ‘Today is an unforgettable day.’ The football icon, who is one of the most famous Brazilian footballers of all time and is the subject of a new Netflix show charting his life from childhood poverty to the 1970 World Cup winner (pictured left), warned followers: ‘I received the vaccine.

But the pandemic is not over yet. We must keep discipline to preserve lives until many people have taken the vaccine.’
