690 people have tested positive for the new coronavirus from 5393 samples tested between Saturday and Sunday.
The latest brings the total number of cases tested in the country to 22,053- tested from 315,723 samples since the pandemic struck.
681 of the new cases are Kenyans while 9 are foreigners aged between 6 months and 83-years-old.
The cases consist of 492 males and 198 females.
The cases are distributed across the country as follows: Nairobi (535),Kiambu (56),Kajiado (28), Nyeri (24), Busia (9),Machakos (7), Kisumu and Nakuru (6) each, Embu and Garissa (4) each, Laikipia and Narok (3) each, Bungoma,Kwale.Meru, Mombasa and Nyandarua (1) case each.
In Nairobi, the cases are distributed as follows:Westlands (63), Lang’ata(44),Dagoretti North (43), Dagoretti South (43),Embakasi East (40),Starehe (38),Kamukunji (32), Makadara (30),Embakasi South(29), Kasarani (27), Kibra (25), Embakasi West (23),Roysambu (21), Embakasi North (20),Mathare, Embakasi Central and Ruaraka (19) each.
In Kiambu, the 56 cases are in: Ruiru (15), Gatundu South (12), Kikuyu (11), Limuru (6), Kiambu Town (4), Kiambaa (3), Juja and Kabete (2) caseas each and Lari 1.
Kenya has also recorded 58 recoveries, all from various hospitals across the country, bringing the total number of recoveries so far to 8,477.
Five patients have also succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities so far to 369.
