Hotelier Sir Richard Lexington Sutton (pictured centre), 83, was attacked inside his £2million home (pictured bottom right) in north Dorset, last night.
A woman, believed to be his wife Anne Schreiber (left), also suffered knife injuries in the attack at the home, named Moorhill.
When police arrived last night they found Baronet, Sir Richard, owner of the five-star Sheraton Grand and the Athenaeum in London’s prestigious Park Lane, fatally injured from knife wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9.15pm. The woman, who is aged in her 60s, was airlifted to the Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Her condition was today described as ‘critical’.
