SENATOR MALALA: Truth Can Kill You, But Lie Defends From Death

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has been summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to answer for statements he made that allegedly hinted at locking out COTU boss Francis Atwoli from holding a meeting at Bukhungu stadium on December 31, 2021.

According to NCIC, all political players are welcome to campaign and visit any part of the country they please and as such no one has the right to barr them from doing so.

“Kenya has no bedrooms and living rooms for any politician and there is no space for locking out other politicians from any political side from any part of the country,” the NCIC Boss Samuel Kobia said in a statement.

“These summons also mean that he (Malala) is now a prime candidate for inclusion in the wall of shame; as well as facing the full force of the law.”

Kobia similarly added that NCIC will continue to monitor the nation to ensure politicians do not make reckless remarks ahead of the 2022 polls and that hatemongers are not cleared to run for office.

Malala made the utterances on December 24, 2021 when he attended the 41st Vihiga Cultural Festival that was also graced by OKA principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.

“I want to say there is no meeting in Bukhungu Stadium on the 31st. We don’t want brokers in Luhya politics,” Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala said then.

“The worst part of it is that they will say Raila Tosha. Why don’t you go and do it in Kondele or Siaya? Kakamega is a no go zone.”

Atwoli intends to use the meeting to rally the Luhya nation to Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja Movement after he publicly declared his intention to vie for the presidency next year.
