Travis Scott Sued For $2 Billion Over Astroworld Tragedy

Travis Scott is facing his biggest lawsuit yet.

An attorney representing more than 200 alleged victims of the Astroworld festival has filed

a $2 billion lawsuit against the rapper, as well as Drake, Live Nation, and NRG Park.

The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, alleges that fans were “incited into a frenzy” during Travis’

performance, which triggered a crowd surge toward the main stage, trampling and crushing festivalgoers.

The filing, which was made on behalf of 280 plaintiffs, blames organizers for not taking Astroworld safety concerns from 2019 into account when planning this year’s version.

“The Defendants stood to make an exorbitant amount of money of this event, yet they chose to cut corners, cut costs, and put the festival attendees at risk,” reads the suit.

The attorney who filed the case has amended the complaint five times already, with the most recent filing upping the damages to $2 billion.

At least 140 lawsuits have been filed in the wake of the Nov. 5 tragedy, which left 10 people dead and hundreds more injured.

Earlier this week, a $750 million lawsuit was filed on behalf of 125 Astroworld victims, including Axel Acosta, who was killed during the catastrophe.
