All domestic flights between Nairobi and Mombasa will be suspended effective mid-day on Monday, March 27, 2021.
Kenya Airways Acting Chief Commercial Officer Julius Thairu said flights between Nairobi and Kisumu will also be suspended on Monday at noon until further notice.
This follows the directive by President Uhuru Kenyatta in efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
KQ added that they have increased the number of scheduled flights until Monday mid-day, to address customers’ needs.
“We sincerely apologize to all our customers for the inconvenience and reiterate that our crew, staff, and country’s safety remains our priority,” said KQ.
Those affected by the changes have been advised to review their bookings for later travel or request a refund.
Meanwhile, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Director General Capt. Gilbert M. Kibe said all domestic flights in the country will cease any movements effective Monday 29th March, 2021.
