Lekan Osifeso Jnr, popularly known as Lojay, is a 22 year old Afro fusion singer, songwriter and producer born on the 28th of April 1996. Although he has been writing and recording music since the age of 10, he began his professional music career in 2016. Being the child of a pastor, he began drumming in his primary school band (Tomobid School) as well as his neighbourhood church choir at the tender age of 8 before joining the church choristers at age 16 when and where he discovered and developed his range of vocals. Although his music is inspired solely by his environment and experiences he grew up listening to artistes like Lagbaja, Micheal Jackson, Bruno Mars and Tuface. During his secondary school days at Nigerian Turkish International Colleges (NTIC), he was part of a rap group called DKOY before moving on to become a singer during his time at the university of Portsmouth where he attained a first degree in Marketing and a masters degree in Business and Management.
