If They Deny Us Aid, We Will Discipline Our Expenditure

The President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has said that if the Western Nations will deny them aid due to passing the anti-homosexuality law, then they will sit down and reduce the country’s spending by cutting spending while carefully planning the budget, but they will never repeal the law for fear of Western sanctions.

Museveni made the statement in his meeting with NRM Party members in what appears to be a response to US President Joe Biden who threatened to impose sanctions on Uganda after passing the law.

Museveni has said “Regarding business, if they interfere in our business, we will do business with other people, no one will bully us or shake us, Ugandans should be ready for war, war is for the brave not for the weak”.

The new law will compel people who participate in homosexual acts to serve up to life imprisonment.
