President Uhuru has moved to the Court of Appeal to challenge the High Court decision that
directed him to appoint the six judges he left out from a list of 41 judges recommended by
the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) for appointment
In the petition filed through Advocate Charles Waweru Gatonye, the Head of State argues
that the High Court’s order “is patently unconstitutional and likely to create a conflict
between the Office of the Chief Justice and that of the President.”
