Manchester United is reportedly still in the market to sign one more player before the August 31 deadline.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already had a successful transfer window, recruiting Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and Rafael Varane from Real Madrid, two players who were primary targets for the club.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, United’s business is not done just yet, as they are exploring the opportunity to sign a midfielder in the final two weeks of the window.
Question marks have been raised regarding Paul Pogba’s future, as he has now entered the final 12 months of his contract, while fringe players such as Nemanja Matic are considered surplus to requirements.
United have already spent over £110m this summer, though they are hoping to generate some funds from player departures, with the likes of Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones up for sale, while Andreas Pereira and Brandon Williams are expected to leave the club on loan.
If the Red Devils do manage to free up some funds, then they will look to target Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who is valued at around £34m as he has less than a year remaining on his contract.
Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yves Bissouma is believed to be an alternative if they are unable to land the 18-year-old Frenchman.
