walimu King’ang’i speaks on the return of the show

After close to two years break, the Churchill show returns this week at Quivers lounge.

Churchill took a break following a government directive on public gatherings after the first coronavirus case in Kenya was confirmed in March last year.

Speaking to the media today, Comedian Churchill says he will host the first show and acknowledged that the show returns on his birthday weekend.

“It’s my birthday. The idea behind Big Laugh is different from Churchill show. It is an African idea.We are excited about the first show. Everyone will be here, its a lot of work between now and Sunday,” he said.

Churchill says they will be mainly holding the show at Thika Road.

“It is a standup comedy and then new segments will be introduced and new actors as well. This is however not for TV, come and experience and wait for the next one.”
