Businesswoman and socialite Vera Sidika relocated to Mombasa, the city where she was born, to start her life afresh.
Speaking to Gates Mgenge on Pwani FM, Vera explained why she left Nairobi.
“MOMBASA IS HOME. IT IS LIKE ASKING SOMEONE WHY HAVE YOU GONE BACK HOME,” VERA SAID.
“I SHIFTED TO MOMBASA BECAUSE I WANTED TO BE CLOSER TO MY FAMILY. MOMBASA HAS THAT FEEL OF BEING HOME FOR ME.”
Vera revealed that in Nairobi, she felt exposed and unsafe.
“IN NAIROBI THERE IS NO PRIVATE LIFE. I FEEL RELAXED HERE AND HERE PEOPLE ARE SO NICE AND KIND. I HAVE WALKED AROUND IN PEACE, AND I HAVE BEEN TO MARIKITI WEARING A DERA AND THE BEAUTY IS THAT IS YOU DON’T HAVE TO WEAR A PANTY.”
Talking about privacy, Gates asked her about the two photos she posted on social media in her birthday suit.
Laughing, Vera explained,
“IT IS MY BIRTHDAY MONTH. MY BIRTHDAY IS ON SEPTEMBER 30TH AND I LIKE POSING IN MY BIRTHDAY SUIT.”
She continued,
“SOMETIMES WE WANT TO FEEL SEXY. MOST TIMES I DON’T WEAR MAKEUP AND I’M IN A DERA WITH NO WIG ON. SO IT IS NICE TO MIX IT UP, TO SPICE IT. (FROM THE SOCIAL MEDIA REACTIONS) I FEEL GOOD AND I REALISE I STILL GOT IT
