“Looking at these [Olympic] rings got me thinking about the future.”

Uche Eke has become a record-breaker by being the first gymnast to represent Nigeria at the Olympics.

The 24-year-old, who started when he was 4 after learning to backflip, finished 36th in the competition.

Uche, whose father is Nigerian and mother is American, won Nigeria’s first gymnastics gold medal at the All-African Games in 2019.
