Aden Duale Dares Jubilee Party To Kick Out Ruto As Deputy President

Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has bashed the Jubilee Party leadership over reports of a plot to kick out William Ruto as the deputy president.

Duale, addressing a rally in Juja on Wednesday, dared the ruling party to remove the DP,

asserting that the position is enshrined in the Constitution and remains as is until the end the next general elections.

He went ahead to explain that, should anybody want to remove Ruto as the DP, then they should follow the right channel as stipulated in law.

“The position of the Deputy President is anchored in law…

the removal of the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya is well stipulated in the Constitution,” Duale said.

“You can remove the DP of the Republic of Kenya elected together with the President if he

has committed a gross violation of the Constitution, if he has gone bankrupt or if he has a mental incapacitation.”

The former National Assembly Majority Leader stated that the Constitution of Kenya supersedes that of the Jubilee Party.

He blamed the current state of the Jubilee party to what he termed as conmanship of ODM leader Raila Odinga and his lieutenants.

“Nataka Tuju, Murathe na wale wakora waliteka nyara Jubilee wanisikie, the current status of Jubilee in terms of rank and membership is like a scrap metal. We are tired ofintimidation and blackmail.

We are in no business of buying Jubilee as scrap metal,” he said.

“We are telling our president, ulikuwa na nafasi, ulikuwa na chama ya kitaifa lakini ulikubali wakora,

wizi na walevi wateke nyara hio chama mpaka leo imekua scrap metal unataka kuuzia mtu ya kitendawili.”

He added that: “Nyinyi watu wa mlima mnajua mimim Aden Duale, usiku na mchana nimesimama kulinda Uhuru Kenyatta na serikali yake na mimi nikafurushwa kama mbwa.
