Chameleone Recovering After ICU Reports

Legendary Ugandan singer Joseph Mayanja, alias Jose Chameleone, has been reported to be critically ill and in the ICU.

This comes after photos of him at a hospital bed while being taken care of by his mother Prossy Mayanja went viral.

His personal assistant has confirmed to some Ugandan media that the ‘Valu Valu’ hitmaker is indeed sick and is hospitalized at Nakasero Hospital.

Reports say the singer is battling a pancreas and liver-related disorder but his wife Daniella Atim revealed that he is suffering from H-pylori, a type of bacteria that infects the stomach.

It can damage the tissue in the stomach and the first part of the small intestine.

“I’m proud of myself because I’ve mastered the art to stay calm during the storm,” Daniella said

In another post, she was angered by social media users who have been spreading her husband’s hospital photo.

“But why are we all sharing that so unpleasant photo of our personal person?” she asked on Instagram

“Do you guys realize he has children far from him whose emotional wellbeing you and me should protect? So I’m busy collected explaining to my child that Pylori is a bacterial infection that should clear with consistent treatment and you are all sharing a damn picture. Don’t we all have a happy picture of our favourite human?”

Well, the singer has taken to social media to thank his mother for being there for him; confirming that he is indeed in hospital.

“Thank you, Mama, Your love is evident. You have never given up on the truth!!!! I will grow stronger learning from you. God grant you more life.”

His brother, Pallaso commented;

“Welcome back lion King.”

Last year, the ‘Badilisha’ hitmaker was also hospitalised for more than five days, battling a strange disease that wasn’t revealed to the public.
