Drake is the latest celebrity to have COVID.
The 6 God made the revelation while commenting on a photo of himself posted by a fan Instagram account. In the pic, which Drake previously shared on Aug. 12, the signature Certified Lover Boy heart shaved into his hairline was half missing, prompting the fan to write, “That heart is stressed.”
Drake responded in the comments, revealing that he was diagnosed with COVID-19, which he blames for the odd hair growth.
“I had Covid that shit grew in weird,” he wrote.
However, he appears to have since recovered. “I had to start again it’s coming back don’t diss,” he added.
Last week, Drake’s “POPSTAR” collaborator DJ Khaled also shared that he and his family had COVID and recovered, as did Wiz Khalifa and The Kid LAROI.
COVID could be part of the reason why Certified Lover Boy has yet to be released. Last month, Drake announced that the long-delayed album was finally finished and would arrive by the end of summer.
“Album’s cooked. Looking forward to delivering it to you,” he said on Sound 42’s “Fry Yiy Friday” show. “Certified Lover Boy on the way, and that’s for anyone in the way.”
