FLORIDA A&M, A HISTORICALLY BLACK UNIVERSITY, IS FORGIVING OVER $16M IN STUDENT DEBT

Florida A&M University students got a welcome surprise when the university announced

it would be paying off student financial balances for the 2020-2021 school years.

More than 20 historically Black colleges and universities have forgiven student debt using funds from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act.

The schools have paid more than $25 million in student debt.⁠
