“JUST QUIT IF YOU HAD ENOUGH OF JUBILEE’S GOVERNMENT” ODM TELLS RUTO

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has faulted Deputy President William Ruto, accusing him of failing to rein in his allies who have been insulting President Uhuru and his family.

Speaking at the Capitol Hill Square on Tuesday, National Assembly Minority Whip Junet Mohamed asked Ruto to quit if he has had enough of the government instead of subjecting Kenyans to politics of violence.

To Ruto, just quit if you are tired of the government, you can criticize it from the outside like us), ā€ Junet said.

He also accused Ruto of playing Kenyans by pretending to reprimand his allies, yet he had not taken any action.

ā€œIt is dishonest and old school for Ruto to be sending people to abuse other leaders then pretend to be telling them to stop, you can abuse other leaders to gain power including mothers of this country, you have no business abusing Mama Ngina, abusing her is abusing all mothers of this country,ā€ Junet said.

At the same time, Junet said ODM was waiting to see whether Ruto would make himself president since he claimed he had made ODM Raila Odinga the Prime Minister in 2007.

ā€œRuto must stop threatening Kenyans with violence, he should not think he has the monopoly over violence, Ruto claims he made Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, as ODM we are waiting to see him make himself president,ā€ Junet added

ODM leader Raila Odinga who was flanked by Maa leaders also called out the leaders who have been accused of fanning ethnic contempt through hateful statements.

ā€œWe have gone to war in 1992. 1997 and 2007, no one should try to take this country back to war on account of politics,ā€ Raila said.

His statement appeared to reference MPs Johana Ngā€™eno (Emurua Dikirr) and Oscar Sudi (Kapseret) who had in viral videos hurled insults at President Kenyatta and his family.
