The body of a Kenyan girl in her early twenties has been found inside a lodging in Salgaa in an incident that has puzzled area residents.

Although it not clear what transpired during the night, the girl’s male companion was nowhere to be seen when the body was discovered on Friday morning.

The two reportedly checked into the room on Thursday night.

Several photos from the crime scene show a blood-stained wall although there have been no reports of a commotion so far.

Molo Ward MCA Rachel Maru who rushed to the scene after the matter was reported, confirmed the incident and asked police to ensure the culprit is brought to book.

At the same time, she asked Kenyans to seek alternative dispute resolution methods instead of taking matters into their own hands.
