Kyumbi Police Hold Cleansing Ceremony After Losing Colleagues On Mombasa Road.

The police at the Kyumbi police station in Athi River held prayers on Tuesday afternoon. It was aimed at cleansing the station as they mourned their departed colleagues.

The cleansing ceremony was attended by several pastors, community leaders, and members of the public.

They expressed their grief as they mourned Corporal Purity Kungu and Corporal Loise Chepchumba who were both attached to Kyumbi police post until their death.

The police station had lost two police officers to road accidents in a span of less than a week. The ceremony was to prevent more deaths.
