Makueni: One Dead, Three Injured After Lorry Crashes Into A Shop

One person died while three other sustained serious injuries after a lorry lost control and crashed into a shop in Tawa, Makueni county on Sunday.

The lorry, which was traveling from Masii in Machakos, appeared to have brake failure on a slope near Tawa, witnesses told Citizen Digital.

The driver of the ill-fated lorry, his turn boy, and two women who were walking were among those injured.

One of the ladies succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at the Tawa Hospital on Sunday.

According to Makueni County police chief Joseph Ole Napeiyan, who confirmed the incident, the lorry driver was taken to the Makueni Referral Hospital for specialized treatment.
