A couple has been arrested after allegedly killing their 8-year-old daughter.This followed after a domestic fight at Majengo estate in Kilgoris, Narok County.
According to a police report, the man was trying to hit his wife with a wooden object. He then missed and hit his daughter; thereafter causing her death.
The couple, Esther Kaiseyi (21) and Amos Maengwe (30), then reportedly carried their daughter to hospital for medical attention.
They ran into police officers who helped them rush the child to the Kilgoris sub-county hospital.
“Upon arrival at the facility, doctors tried to attend to the girl whose condition had worsened. She lost her life while undergoing treatment,” read the police report.
The parents are presently being held at the Kilgoris Police Station. They are awaiting arraignment as investigations continue.
