A man was on Tuesday night shot dead in a bar in Kathonzweni Market, Makueni County.
The killing was reportedly executed by two people at around 10 PM.
Police say the two assailants entered the bar as customers, ordered for drinkings only for them to order everyone in the bar to lie down, then shooting the victim.
Kathonzweni Sub-County Police Commander Peter Nthiga also stated that the suspects also stole Ksh. 28,000 from the revelers.
This incident happened just a day after president Uhuru Kenyatta allowed bars to operate until 10pm after months of closure due to Covid-19.
The body of the deceased has been transferred to a private morgue in Wote town as investigations into the incident continue.
