Protest In Sudan

Thousands of protesters gathered in Khartoum and cities across the country to call for a civilian-led transition to democracy. This was after last week’s attempted coup. Sudanese security forces later fired tear gas to try and break up the demonstration in the capital.⁠⁠

Reports say that the transition government lacks leadership and people involvement. Moreover, it has failed to address pressing issues in the nation. Covid-19, resource scarcity, internal conflicst and climate-induced threats.
