Son Of Senior Police Officer Suspected Of Killing Tow In Road Accident

Two people, a motorcyclist and his pillion passenger were fatally injured along Nairobi’s Southern Bypass in an accident believed to have been caused by a drunk driver on Thursday evening.

The drunk driver, reported to be the son of a senior police officer, was whisked away from the scene of the accident alongside two female passengers on board the double cabin pickup truck.

Efforts by Citizen TV to get information on the accident were futile with the police remaining unyielding all day.

Neither the wreckage of the car last seen at the scene of accident nor a police report on the accident was available at Lang’ata Police Station, in whose jurisdiction the accident happened.

The family of the late bodaboda rider has identified him as Stephen Musyoka from Mwingi, Kitui County, who operated in the city.

The pillion passenger whose body is at the City mortuary is yet to be identified.

The National Police Service remains mum on the incident
